NOT AN ERROR
The popup error message that says the material may be newer then your present reader and you should upgrade is not an error; IT'S ADOBE YANKING ON THE LEASH. The charts are encoded for PDF 4 or higher (for very old computers) so their message is meaningless. Just dismiss the message and continue as you normally would. We have nothing to do with the popup messages generated by proprietary software venders. WE DO NOT USE POPUP ADS OR MESSAGES. In the future, our charts may be encoded by Open Source software for precision printing on the Internet without popup upgrade now messages. But for now, grin & bear it; Open Source precision printing is still in its infancy, but maturing rapidly.

The download package (January 14, 2012) contains 7 files. Read the download Readme file at the link above for a list of the files and brief instructions. The download file archive is provided in 2 sizes: STANDARD (8.5" X 11" ) and POSTER ( 11" X 17" ).

The 2012 Charts are on-line and can be printed from the Internet right now. If you are here from an old bookmark, click on the chart you want to print (from the graphic links found in the left window pane) and re-bookmark the new chart site. If you tried and could not print a chart, try the methods posted below.
Our goal is to provide a SIMPLE one-click printed jogging chart directly from the Internet. But the enormous variety of devices and the software to operate them - mostly proprietary and incompatible with each other - offers a significant challenge to this goal of simplicity. In short, it's difficult being simple on the Internet, although we will keep trying. New FAQs, troubleshooting guide and chart download packages should be on-line shortly. Pardon the construction delays as we add new material and rearrange our 2012 on-line print shops.

Poster Size Jogging Charts
This year's Jogging and Walking charts are available as,
POSTERS (in Ledger Size 11" X 17" PDF files and as JPG graphic files)
And as,
STANDARD (in Letter Size 8.5" X 11" PDF files and as JPG graphic files)

The 4 charts seen on the right are POSTER size PDF charts, Click on the graphic of your choice to open a new window with the chart availabe in PDF.
Located above each chart is the link to it's STANDARD SIZE counterpart, also in PDF.

Method 1
For Adobe PDF reader 5 or higher. The 8 links to the charts located on the RIGHT will open a new window with the chart embedded in an unscripted PDF file - that is, the chart will not print automatically. This gives you the opportunity to set the PDF print options manually. Wait for the PDF file to fully load - be patient, the chart is a very large graphic. Click on the PRINT ICON on the PDF menu bar ***NOT YOUR BROWSER'S FILE MENU AT THE VERY TOP LEFT OF YOUR SCREEN*** but locate the PDF menu bar below that at the start of your browser's data area. Select the PRINT ICON and a print setup window should appear.
- For Adobe PDF reader 5: Make sure the "Print As Image" option is selected, and select the two resize options, "Shrink Oversized Pages" and "Expand Small Pages." Also select "Auto-rotate and Center Pages." Turn on your printer and click OK.
- For Adobe PDF reader 6 or higher: Select the "Fit To Printable Area" option in the dropdown menu. Turn on your printer and click OK.
Remember - To print the Poster Size charts, a printer capable of printing ledger size ( 11 X 17 inch ) pages is required.
The Standard Size charts will print on any letter size printer ( 8.5 X 11 inch ) which is the average computer printer.
Note - THIS PAGE WILL REMAIN OPEN UNDER THE PDF CHART PAGE, so you can easily refer to it if necessary. Close the chart page manually when finished. ALSO TURN OFF ANY ACTIVE POPUP BLOCKER OR YOU'LL CLICK AND GET NOTHING.

Method 2
If you hate fidgeting with program settings but absolutly demand a one-click solution, try printing from the PDF file posted on the Internet first. If this doesn't work for you, the individual chart graphics are posted on the left. Click on the chart you want, and the chart as a JPG graphic will open in a NEW WINDOW. Go to the FILE menu in the NEW WINDOW and select SAVE AS . . .
to download the graphic.
DO NOT TRY TO PRINT THE GRAPHIC FROM YOUR BROWSER. IT'S A WASTE OF PAPER AND INK. The downloaded graphic should be opened in a graphics program and printed from there. All the chart graphics are made to the proper size, so no resizing is needed. Do not resize the POSTER size graphic down to STANDARD, or the STANDARD size up to POSTER, use the proper size graphic for the best quality printed chart.
